funding

for community groups

The Highlands and Islands Climate Hub is pleased to be able to financially contribute to communities taking part in the Highlands & Islands Climate Festival 2024.

We have two stages of funding available exclusively for Community Groups.

  • £150 event contribution

  • Invitation to submit an event proposal for a larger event

2023 saw an incredible 55 organisations funded to host events as part of the Highlands & Islands Climate Festival and we anticipate that demand will be high for 2024. We really want to see as many communities as possible throughout Highland, Orkney and Shetland have the opportunity to take part in events during the festival therefore, we’re operating on an event contribution basis.

In addition to the event contribution funding, we invite proposals for larger scale events. Give us your ideas, we want to hear them and also hear what funding you would need to make the event happen.

We are pro-actively seeking sponsorship for the Highlands & Islands Climate Festival 2024 to create a funding pot to enable these events to take place either through funding or by matching you to a local business sponsor in your area. We can make no guarantees at this stage but we are working in the background on making this possible.

We would encourage organisations who want to hold a large event to apply at this stage for both event contribution funding and make a larger event proposal.
