Shetland Climate Festival - 13th September 2025

Shetland Islands Council has been working hard to pull together the third annual Shetland Climate Festival and we’re thrilled that this event will kick start the Highlands and Islands Climate Festival.

On Saturday 13th September 2025, the Climate Change Programme will host the Shetland Climate Festival within the Clickimin Bowls Hall between 10am and 4pm to learn about how climate change will impact Shetland and the work currently happening to tackle this.

The Shetland Climate Festival 2025 Event Programme is now live and available to view below. The event programme has all the information you need about which organisations will be there on the day, what activities are available for children, plus the full workshop schedule.

This year’s festival is taking place in September to celebrate the Highland and Islands Climate Festival and is just before Scottish Climate Week.
